Why Book of Blues Code Words?

Why Use the code words Book of Blues and Book of Blues Sequel to describe the literary works? The answer is simple. Sort of.

Some people, you learn from their lessons. Some people, you learn from their mistakes. I have an aunt that can be described as the latter.

My aunt had an agent that she ended up winning a civil action suit against. Her and a couple hundred others sued an agent for stealing their ideas, rewriting them and getting them published as his own work.

Aspiring writers: theft is rampant. After you spend all that time and effort to write your work, be smart enough to protect it! Poor man’s copyrights are one think (mailing a paper copy to yourself), but take the extra moments to make sure your characters, plot lines, descriptions and finer moments are secured so your path to publishdom is secure, swift, fluid and enjoyable.

At this time, I have not copyrighted my work. I will not give specifics about Book of Blues or Book of Blues Sequel until the work is more secured. I think I’ve already been to liberal with the work as it is.
